Day Trip to Hanyangling Museum, Cave Dwelling and Terracotta Army

09:00 a.m: With sunny smile, your tour guide will greet you at your hotel lobby. Your day tour commences. You will head for Terracotta Warriors Museum first.
09:50 a.m: Arrive at Terracotta Warriors Museum. Your guide will explain every details of this museum and its history as well facts. You will be fed with tons of knowledge. As the world’s eighth wonder, Terracotta Warriors Museum represented the highest clay craftsmanship. It also provided a great source for historians to study the Qin Dynasty and its prior histories. Through the visit to the Terracotta Army, you can have a general idea of how prosperous Qin Empire used to be and what ancient people hold dear in their afterlife.
12:30 p.m: Taste the most authentic local lunch (pay on spot). Be prepared to be overwhelmed by tons of delicious local food. Whatever your favorite flavor is, you will find something you like in Xian. Here are some choices for references: Biang Biang Noodles, Chinese Hamburger, Baozi (steamed stuffed bun), Spicy soup, Tofu Jelly, Deep - fried dough sticks, Pita Bread Soaked in Mutton Soup, Guokui, etc..
13:30p.m: Proceed to visit a local family lived in the Traditional Cave and learn about the local farmer’s life. It’s hard to picture someone actually live in a cave, but there are indeed. In fact, it was pretty popular back to a few decades ago in Shaanxi Province. Believe or not, the cave dwelling was comfortable back then. It’s very cool in the hot summer and warm in the winter. Some people in northern part of Shaanxi province still live in such form nowadays.
14:30 p.m: Set out to the Hanyangling Museum, also called Jingdi’s tomb. It is located at Zhangjiawan Village, about 25 kilometers north of Xian City. It is a joint tomb of Liu Qi, a notable emperor of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-220AD), and his empress, Empress Wang. It was built in the year 153 AD, now it covers an area of 20 square kilometers. This mausoleum which combines modern technology, ancient civilization, historical culture and garden scenery is the largest museum in China.
17:00 p.m: Your day tour comes to an end. Your guide will accompany you back to your hotel.
